Wellington Junior Bowls Championships

Three teams - two boys' pairs and one girls pairs.

A great day with just a little wind

The boys' teams were drawn against each other in the third round - a draw! Now would they both get into the semi-finals and more importantly would they be drawn against each other.

Yay - both in the semis and different ones. Both teams won their respective semis resoundingly as did the girls.

The finals were very exciting - we had three of the four teams playing.

The boys' teams were neck and neck - one end one team was leading, the next end the other team was in the lead. They went into the final end at a tie and that end decided the winners.

Ross and his partner came first and Colin and his partner were second. And the girls came second too!

What a great day for us! A first and two seconds. The kids left feeling very pleased with themselves. The photo shows the six kids and the coach

Well done & congrats to all the bowlers!

Outdoor bowls has been having a huge revival the past couple of years hasn't it?

Lots of young ones taking it up, which is great to see.
